M-Inclusion project Winner of AUTELSI Award 2013
Telefónica picked the 28th, on behalf of the consortium M-Inclusion, Autelsi Award 2013 in the category "Social and Environmental Commitment", rewarding the contribution of this project to inclusion and social entrepreneurship.The awards ceremony was held during the IX Autelsi Convention, which brought together in Madrid to 200 ICT professionals.Responsible for collecting the prize was Sofia Fernandez de Mesa, Director of Social Responsibility and Innovation in Telefónica and Project Coordinator.Fernandez de Mesa stressed that "M-Inclusion focuses on strengthening the role of mobile applications on key issues such as inclusion and job creation. The success of these initiatives passed by collaborating with other agents. Not surprisingly, the M-Inclusion objective is to establish, through an online platform, a framework for cooperation between developers and people at risk of exclusion (with low income, with any disability, chronic patients or living in remote areas)".Besides bringing together entrepreneurs and citizens through our website (www.m-inclusion.eu), the platform also provides a forum for collaboration and discussion for governments, private entities, NGOs, academics, researchers, etc..AUTELSI (http://www.autelsi.es/cms/), Spanish Association of Telecommunications and Information Society, is a Spanish non-profit organization that has about 150 members and aims the development of the Information Society in Spain. The Autelsi awards are prestigious awards that reward excellence and innovation in the ICT sector and recognize the merits and efforts by public and private entities in this field.
